I knew I was getting a heavy chair compared to some other brands but I was hoping the weight would translate into added durability and stability in the sand. My hopes were fulfilled. This is a well built chair that packs down into a small package for easy portability in a backpack or over the shoulder.
I found the chair to be very sturdy and comfortable. However, my two teenagers who are about 120 lbs both consider the chair uncomfortable. However, we use it differently with the adult's looking to be more upright and the kids are looking to recline and lounge more. I do wish it had a cup holder and handles, but overall I am satisfied with this purchase and I really appreciate how compact it is when folded.
I put together one chair and sat in it for a moment. It seemed comfortable but haven't yet used it for a longer period. I'll wait until I start using it often.
I have an old Mac chair that I am a huge fan of; as a musician I really appreciate a good folding chair without those pesky handles in the way, but the old model unfortunately is starting to get a bit worse for wear, so I though t it'd be good to have a backup handy. This new version looked promising but doesn't fit together quite right when it folds out, only used it once and it broke, and I only weigh 140 pounds. It is my philosophy that a chair should be able to be sat in comfortably so that I can think on other things and not be constantly worrying about the stability of the structure underneath me.
